7/7 MEMORIAL, Tavistock square
The 7/7 Memorial Trust is currently raising funds for a new 7/7 memorial in Tavistock Square Gardens, the site most closely associated with the London Bombings.
Designed by Carmody Groarke the practice behind the national memorial in Hyde Park. The memorial will provide a fitting tribute to those who lost their lives on the No.30 bus, and celebrate the courage and resilience of the survivors, the emergency services and those members of the public who did what they could to help.
This permanent market will receive no public funding and will be entirely funded by donations. The Trust is very grateful to those local businesses and individuals who have contributed towards the funding of the memorial to date, and are now calling on the support of the wider London community to give what they can to help make this people's memorial a reality.
